The Wellington Region has organised a special afternoon of Historical RSCDS Dances for intermediate dancers and above.

Book 1, the first book from the RSCDS, was published in 1924, so 2024 is the centenary of this publication.

Rod Downey will teach selected dances from Books 1-5, all published pre 1930. Mostly these dances will be ones not commonly met nowadays. There are lots of interesting and not too hard dances in those books, often with great memorable tunes.

This day follows on from the very successful Early Wellington Dances day last year.
