These sessions provide dancers with the opportunity to dance in the afternoon with people from other clubs as well as their own.
All sessions are at:
St John’s Anglican Church, 18 Bassett Road, Johnsonville (hall is behind the church).
St John’s has a lovely wooden floor and is on the hill to the north of the town centre. This is about six minutes walk from the Johnsonville train station and bus hub. Or, if you come by car, up the driveway at the corner of Ironside & Basset Roads (usually you can park behind the church).
The cost is $5 per session, and please bring your own water bottle.
We look forward to seeing our current dancers back again this year, and newcomers are also most welcome.
If you are thinking of coming and want more information you can email Pat Reesby phone 021 0271 6196 or Catherine McCutcheon (General session tutor) or phone 021 211 5229.
Please check with your club tutor if you are not sure if these sessions would be suitable for you to attend – check the flyer on your club noticeboard. $5 per session and your own water bottle.

The focus for the popular general group is on popular dances and less familiar dances from upcoming programmes. The group is for independent dancers, at least intermediate level.
Although dances are walked, and taught where required, these sessions are intended for independent dancers who can dance reels of three, reels of four, allemande, double triangles, reel/jig poussette, grand chain, ladies’ chain, figures of eight across and on the side and can identify corners without help from a partner.
