Clubs are autonomous groups informally connected under the umbrella of the Wellington Region. These weekly meetups are the heart of the Scottish Country Dancing community. We like to learn new dances, revise old ones, improve our technique, and catch up with dancing friends. Some clubs offer junior groups for children and teens.
The weekly door charge is around $5 to cover hall hire. Some clubs offer your first visit free of charge.
Clubs normally meet weekly between March and early November. Clubs usually commence in the first week of March unless an alternative date is shown, but please check with the club. Note too that many clubs run beginners’ classes in February – see the Beginners’ Classes page for details.
